Some cool musical news...

I got an email from Keith Dion, a former member of the band The Ophelias. Looks like they will be remastering and releasing two retrospective CDs, containing all their wonderful archive material,. They also plan on going into the studios to create a new album.

While The Ophelias might not be commonly known by most people, they were probably the biggest local band in San Francisco during the late '80s/early '90s. The singer of the band, Leslie Medford, is apparently sitting on a ton of strong material, and plans on collaborating with Keith and former bandmember David Immergluck to record new material. David Immergluck has gone on to a good deal of success himself, working with bands such as the Counting Crows, Cracker, John Hyatt, Camper Van Beethoven, Monks of Doom, Papa's Culture, Sunkist, and The Sneetches.

I might be helping them out a bit with a few things relating to the web and getting the word out. It will be interesting to see what comes of all this. Above all, it will be good to see their old albums released on CD finally -- the band definitely had their moments!
