On the iPhone.

So, the iPhone is out today. I think it's brilliant and totally groundbreaking. I look forward to it setting a whole new usability standard for mobile devices. And yes, I would *love* to have the power of a truely working mobile web browser with me at all times.

That said, before you all rush out and get one, consider how much it will cost you with its service plan. Is it really a better deal than, say, using VOIP from a laptop, connected to the internet via a Wi-Fi hotspot?

Really, I'm not sure what excites me the most about iPhone. Seeing what it can be made to do, or seeing what open source gadget geeks, reverse-engineerers, software designers, etc. make in response to it. 

For now, I can wait.
