Hm. Expected more indictments, but perhaps Libby thinks the president will give him a "get out of jail free" card, so he didn't feel motivated to take the fall. Guess we'll have to see whether things evolve on this one so that more indictments are handed down...
If I were a Democratic senator, I'd let the court battle drag out, the level of guilt be exposed to the public, and then make an issue with the president, urging him to make a public statement to the fact that he's not going to pardon Libby if he's a convicted criminal.
In this case, the depths of the charges against Libby might be a positive thing, because it could allow them to really put the pressure not just on Libby to assist the prosecutors, but also on the Republican Party to sell Libby out. In any event, it's the right target and potentially a good place to start.
