I was checking out upcoming local events, and I found next weekend's Japantown Anime Faire. I didn't know, however, that the organizers were using LJ to promote the event in the community called

animefaire. Something to check out..!

I don't know a ton about all the artists, but I did find out about Tea Club, which is a webcomic that all of us tea fanatics over here found utterly charming. How cuuuuute!
