There will also be a large public presentation on March 29 at the Marin Center Veterans Memorial Auditorium, 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael. The Saturday presentation costs $20, however. Tickets available through the Marin Center Box Office (415-499-6800) or Ticketmaster.
If you are against the war in Iraq, you owe it to yourself to find and support a political candidate *now* who is against war. All the big-named candidates support this war... so, should you support the big-named candidates?
The ability of a presidential candidate to win a presidential primary largely has to do with their message and the efforts of the volunteers -- not money. It's worth remembering that both Clinton and Carter were huge underdogs -- obscure governors with limited campaign funds. So, yes, an underdog can win. If you really want a better president in the future, you owe it to yourself to get involved now. Don't wait until the election to find out your choice is between Twedledee and Tweedledum.
Find a candidate with integrity, humanity, and respect for the Constitution. A candidate that will not lie to his people, or support corrupt policies. A candidate who, unlike Kerry or Lieberman, didn't bang the drum for an illegal, unauthorized, unsupported war, a candidate you can be proud of having as a president. It's the least you can do for yourself and your future.
