Category 5 cyclone hits Northeastern Australia.

Category-5 cyclone Larry is starting to come ashore near Innisfall, Queensland, Australia.

Here are a few LiveJournalers who will be effected. Most of the posts are from about 14 hours ago, so hopefully those who need to evacuate will have done so.

dislocate- "Cyclone Larry is on his way. At this point in time, he's . . . expected to cross the coast at Innisfail (an hour south of here) at about 8am tomorrow morning. If the forecast is correct & he doesn't change course, we would be just getting the outer edges of his force, so we should be getting anywhere between 100-200km/hr winds tomorrow morning. However, cyclone's can be erratic and quite unpredictable, so he may change course & go away, or he could hit anywhere in the watch zone (anywhere in orange on the map on the link below).
go to:
the BOM's forecast track map to see where I am in relation to Larry. I'm on the south side of Cairns, now."

lady-freeze - "Today I have been playing Tycoon City and cleaning up for the anticipated Cyclone Larry. . . I am hoping I dont have to work tomorrow.. which i doubt seems they anticipate cyclone larry to make it to a Catergory 5. If that is the case I think David and I will be heading inland, as I dont want to be caught in the blunt of it all."

adriozadventure - "So apparently cyclone larry is coming at us. but we cant find any other information about it, it was all over lastnight, and then we cant find any today. and is there any difference between a cyclone and a hurricane?" (Answer: Not much, no.)

mrs-isaacs- "Theres a cyclone! OMFG how exciting! Lol its name is Larry, how embarrising!"

Let's hope that Larry stays embarassingly funny.

*UPDATE: Things are very bad indeed in Innisfail, the affluent town of 7,000 where the center of the cyclone hit. Not so bad in Cairns, though, which is fortunate, as it is the largest city in the region. There are some reports that indicate there may be some injuries and possibly a handful of deaths there too, however.

Wow... they cry like babies too!

Kinderstart is suing Google because Google penalized them for playing games to boost their page ranking.

I'm not always a fan of Google, but since when do businesses have the right to demand a higher page ranking from a search engine? Why on earth should Google be obligated to tell Kinderfarts how their highly secret ranking methods work, unless the goal is for Kinderstart to play games with Google's search algorhythms again?

I know I tried to manipulate you, but your free speech is violating my free speech rights. Say nice things about me and let me manipulate you again, or I'll sue.

So, here's my response. I'll help boost Kinderstart's page ranking by linking appropriate words to their site. How about "childish" and "immature" for starters?
