Bush roadrash ensues.

A new poll shows that Bush has reached his lowest approval rating ever at 41%, down over 17% in just five months time, and 49% since 9-11.

Over 65% of Americans now feel that the country is on the wrong track. The last time the percentage was that high was a decade ago, when the Republicans took control of both the House and the Senate.

Wow, how the mighty have fallen. Bush isn't *just* going to get his ass handed to him... he's gonna drag down everyone and and anyone associated with him. Smart Republicans see the writing on the wall, and are already trying to distance themselves from his administration.

On November 2nd, 2004, a country will look back on yet another long, hot, bloody summer in Iraq, at yet another violent Ramadan, and at well over 1000 dead U.S. soldiers... and they'll *know* they don't want to go down that road any longer.

The thing that will really cinch the deal, though, will be this year's popular new Halloween costume, seen widely just two days before the election.

To paraphrase a quote of his, "Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us -- you can't get fooled again."

Latest polls - Kerry vs. Bush.

CBS sez...
49% Kerry
41% Bush

That's a 6% shift towards Kerry in just two months.

Zogby's battleground states poll is even more decisive. If the election were held today, Bush would lose numerous states he won in the last election, including Nevada, Missouri, Ohio, Florida, and New Hampshire.

Predicted electoral votes:
Kerry 331
Bush 206

...and yes, these figures include Nader.
