A PR solution only our government could come up with...

Over the past few weeks, there has been a huge PR attempt by the Bush administration to get out the "good news" about Iraq... since that evil, liberal media keeps reminding us that people are getting killed over in Iraq on a daily basis.

So, how do you get out the "good news" when you can't rely on the media to do it for you? "US soldier in Iraq" form letters, of course! Just have a Republican PR hack write up a letter in Washington, DC, then find some willing pawns in the armed forces to sign onto the letter. Have the letters sent to their hometown newspapers, and voila... instant patriotism, just add signiture! Or don't, even... because one of the soldiers credited with composing the letter in question told reporters that he didn't even sign it!

It sure would be nice to find out who wrote, signed, and mailed that letter... and stick them in the brig for mail fraud.

So, how long do you think it will be before the Bush adminstration starts up a "US soldier in Iraq" spam campaign?
