A moment of decision...

Turkish parliament votes to let in 62,000 US troops, 255 warplanes, and 65 helicopters to attack Iraq...

The vote was close, at 264-251, with 19 abstentions.

Or not.

Turkish parliament rejects basing US troops against Iraq.

The opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) challenged the result on the grounds that the government had not won the 267 votes needed to represent a majority of the 534 lawmakers present in the assembly.

Even now, they are talking about having a revote.

Perhaps we should all contact the Turkish parliament immediately and urge them to not allow US troops to conduct a war from Turkey without UN support.

I don't know much Turkish, so I think I'll stick to a simple message.
