A father's grief for a lost son.

Robert Cringely mourns for the loss of his son in his latest column.

I've seen a lot of people deride his thoughts on technology, but even if he's not always right, he's always looking for the truth -- he doesn't tolerate complacency.

I just hope that his quest for knowledge leads to some kind of resolution and doesn't just compound his grief. Knowledge rarely comes without an emotional price to be paid...
