Texas is Obama Country.



CNN finally calls the Texas Caucus for Barack Obama.

"though Clinton won more delegates than Obama in the primary, 65 to 61, Obama's wider delegate margin in the caucuses gives him the overall statewide delegate lead, 99 to 94"

So, that's a five delegate win for Obama in Texas, and a three-win streak for Obama after tonight.

In other news, apparently the major news sources got their delegate count wrong in California. As a result, Obama picks up an extra four delegates, and Hillary loses the same.

The real reason I'm commenting is that e-mail to you isn't working—I can send the bounce messages somewhere if you like. Anyhoo, at one point you volunteered to wire money to New Zealand, and since [info]curvature ended up paying [info]hopeforyou's depature tax and apparently got stiffed on rent by somebody else, she could use a little help. I'd send her money, but most of my cash is in the U.S. right now and it still has a 1980s banking system so I can't do much about it. I'd be happy to pay you some when I next see you, though.

(And yes, it's lame that she even had to pay departure tax... and departure tax in itself is lame.)

I'm not sure how much all the various costs are, but I suspect I can cover it.

About how much does curvature need to be sent in $USD -- allowing about 5% for the cost of exchange and of getting it there -- and what would be a safe date by when either you or Jen be in a position to pay it back? Is there any preferable way she'd like to receive the money? (Western Union, Paypal, etc.) Probably the best way is to have it sent to an email address, I suspect. Please verify things and email me at markkraft@yahoo.com with all the details.
