Shame on you, Hillary Clinton. Have you no decency?!

Hillary Clinton's campaign is desperate.

She grandstanded on healthcare today, waving a mailer that her campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson had addressed nearly a month ago and shouting "shame on you" because the mailer suggested that people who couldn't afford to pay for her mandated healthcare plan will have to pay, just like everyone else.

Of course, when George Stephanopoulos repeatedly put her on the spot regarding how she would enforce her mandates to get the universal coverage she promises people, she was the one who finally buckled and said:

"I think there are a number of mechanisms . . . going after people's wages, automatic enrollment..."

So, in what way is it dishonest for Obama's mailer to tell people

"Hillary's health care plan forces everyone to buy insurance, even if you can't afford it."

And it's true! It does.

And you know what... Barack Obama very directly and clearly said in the last debate that he too would have some mandates, forcing parents to insure their children. This should be pretty affordable, however, as there are already subsidized government plans for providing coverage for children whose parents lack the ability to do so.

Barack's response to the latest attack was very well done. Positive, substantially informative, not angry. It's refreshing when a candidate can spin an issue without being deceptive, untruthful, or emotinally manipulative, based on the weight of simple, strong arguments. This is a good sign for the future...!
