Draft Gore movement's web traffic pulls ahead of the major candidates.

A weekly snapshot of draftgore.com in comparison to hillaryclinton.com and barackobama.com, taken today from the Alexa.com website.

Draftgore.com now has over 200,000 people who have signed their petition, supporting Al Gore's entry into the presidential race.

I'll be interested in seeing the 1 month spread.

As will I.

I suspect the traffic will die down somewhat, but still be significant enough that the size of the meme/movement will get Gore on the ballots of several states, forcing Gore's hand one way or another.

is it that he has no plans to run meaning that he won't have to if he gets on the ballot?? (no stumping etc..)

what if everyone votes for him.. can he refuse that?? that would suck. I would vote for him over Hillary for certain. I just wish he'd be willing to throw his hat in the ring. =(

There was an article that I read recently that suggested that he was contemplating entering the race, but it would have to be in a situation where he had reason to suspect that Hillary was beatable. It would also have to be fairly soon, in the next few weeks or so, as he'd need a little time to get onto the ballots.

The way I look at it, the more risk there is of Gore entering the race, the more need there will be for other candidates to address his concerns. So, in that sense, he wins even if he chooses not to run.
