Olbermann destroys Hillary Clinton on Ferraro comments. I saw this earlier on his show, and, well... ouch.
And if that wasn't enough, the only person in the followup broadcast who MSNBC could apparently find who would defend Ferraro's statements
was Pat Buchanan... and you know, although I agree with Mr. Buchanan on a few issues involving U.S. imperial overreach, Buchanan isn't exactly the person you want defending you on matters of race.
In Buchanan's own prior words...

What should Ferraro think when she has fallen so badly that she needs Buchanan's help?

If Geraldine Ferraro wasn't being so incredibly, blindly sexist / racist / partisan / all of the above to the point that she's capable of repeatedly overlooking just how demeaning and wrongheaded her comments were, she'd realize that her "supporters" on this issue aren't exactly doing her any favors, and that she is hurting the cause of women in politics, hurting feminism, hurting the combined aspirations of all minorities for equality, and hurting the Democratic Party.
She should apologize and go on a long haitus... and though Ferraro has specifically threatened Obama, saying that his campaign should be nice to her now, because it want Ferraro's help later with fundraising, especially with
her lobbying company with deep pockets and deep relations, again, the answer should be clear.
